Louis Roederer releases its rosé champagnes as vintage champagnes only. This vintage champagne (2014) is a velvety, well-structured blend of 63% Pinot Noir and 37% Chardonnay. 17% of these wines matured in oak barrels. The fruity aroma of this vintage champagne is accompanied by a chalky, fresh minerality that lends it lace and harmony.

- On the nose, fresh and fruity aromas of tart, fresh red fruits. After a little exposure to air, one can also sniff out subtle spicy notes such as cinnamon and pepper.
- On the palate, the ripe, unmistakeably fruity notes of the Pinot Noirs from the south of Cumières and the acidic citrus notes of the Chardonnay from the north of Chouilly.

The Champagne House of Louis Roederer
Louis Roederer is one of the last great family-owned champagne houses. Here, no big brand looms in the shadows – all champagnes are still produced independently and in accordance with family tradition. The house has been based in Reims for more than 200 years. In 1835, Louis Roederer inherited the house and, pursuing independence, began to devote himself to the cultivation of vines and the purchase of additional sites. At that time, champagne houses tended to focus more on the purchase of grapes, but Roederer’s selective choice of vines proved that soil and site were important factors in creating a particularly high-quality champagne. Louis Roederer’s statement “The secret of a great champagne is the soil” continues to be the guiding principle of the house. Roederer is still known today for its high quality and unique style, taste and character. With Frédéric Rouzaud at the helm, the company is now in its seventh generation and has 240 hectares of vines, exclusively in Grand Cru and Premier Cru sites on the Marne.
