The Champagne
The Arietis Vandières Brut Nature NV from Alexis Leconte is a champagne that impresses with its sophistication and liveliness. Made from 100% Pinot Meunier, it showcases the versatility of this grape variety, which is known for fruity and accessible wines with a slight tropical note.
A fine, cool freshness unfolds on the nose, with delicate citrus notes and a subtle spiciness that makes the champagne appear focused and precise. On the palate, the present perlage and an extraordinary lightness are inspiring. The typical Meunier spice remains subtle and underlines the elegant structure of Arietis.
The grapes come from the characterful La Perchotte and La Forzie vineyards, where the soils are characterized by limestone, marl, clay and sand. The wine is aged in 400-liter tonneaux without malolactic fermentation. After tirage in April 2020 and dégorgement in March 2022, the champagne remains authentic and pure thanks to the absence of dosage.
