The Champagne
This size of the champagne bottle was named after a figure in the Old Testament, it has a capacity of 6 litres!!!
The Carte D’Or is a particularly flavorful and full-bodied champagne, which is due to the 80% Pinot Noir in its making. This gives him a lot of structure and a slightly berry note. That makes it the perfect representative of the house Drappier. A small dosage completes the natural freshness of the Chardonnay and prolongs the taste of this champagne.

The Champagne House Drappier
Simplicity and low dosage
Spanning 53 hectares in Urville on the Cote des Bar, the family-owned Drappier champagne house has been creating vivaciously fruity champagnes since 1808. Sites in Cramant and Chouillyn provide an additional 40 hectares. Michael Drappier allows his vines grow with minimal intervention, making him the seventh generation of his family to successfully run the winery. Fermentation is carried out in oak barrels, which is where the liqueurs d’expédition age for over a decade! Low-dose, expressive cuvées are Drappier’s flagship. The modest use of sulfur makes for particularly expressive aromas and a color spectrum ranging from warm gold to copper tones. The very slow bottle fermentation at low temperatures forms the particularly fine bubbles this champagne is known for.
