The Champagne
The Special Cuvée Brut is an absolute classic! Critics agree, showering him with well-deserved praise! Parker even calls it one of the best champagnes in its price range, and rightly so. The cuvée consists of 60% Pinot Noir, 25% Chardonnay and 15% Pinot Meunier from the 30 best sites the Champagne region has to offer. The grapes ferment in oak barrels and stainless steel tanks, depending on the vintage. Each year’s champagne also includes a tenth of reserve wines from previous vintages of Bollinger Special Cuvées. This guarantees the house’s consistent, distinct style. Santé!

The Bollinger Champagne House
Powerful, sensual and elegant
The Bollinger champagne house was founded in 1829 and is one of the last independent producers in the Champagne region. In 1884, Queen Victoria appointed Bollinger the official purveyor to the court of the British Royal Family. The house is based in the Montagne de Reims in Aÿ, near Épernay. The distinctive strong and full-bodied champagnes are achieved by the high proportion of Pinot Noir. Typical of this region! A whopping 80% of all of the house’s plots are Grand or Premier Cru sites.
